In a WaterBoss^® water softener, water enters the tank by passing through the patented, built in, self cleaning, whole house dirt and sediment filter. This whole house dirt and sediment filter traps any sediment that may be brought up from your well or any built up debris that may break away from piping.

The dirt and sediment filter features a patented neoprene screen that is laser welded to the poly propylene tank and packed with Ultrafil. This will reduce dirt and sediment to less than 20 microns, less than is capable for the human eye to see!

No longer will the home owner need to purchase a separate cartridge type filter as required by conventional water softeners and no longer will there be the mess and cost of periodically changing these filters.
