Iron Removal

It is important to test your water prior to selecting any water treatment system. This is particularly true with iron removal.

When considering iron removal, factors such as water temperature, pH, alkalinity, dissolved oxygen content and other factors will affect the results.

Methods for iron removal vary depending on the type of iron you are dealing with in your water supply.

Iron removal is achieved through ion exchange in Waterboss models 700 and 900. WaterBoss is capable clear water iron removal up to 10 ppm.

Most conventional softeners are only capable of removing 1 to 3 ppm iron from the water supply.

WaterBoss is capable of higher removal amounts due the compact bed of fine mesh resin. This feature allows the Waterboss to backwash at a higher rate of pressure for iron removal.
